David Girling is a Lecturer in the School of International Development, University of East Anglia, UK. His main research focus is on social media and international development. He was sat on numerous committees and judging panels including the Rusty Radiator Awards. This annual event critiques the best and worst of charity advertising with the aim to change the way fundraising campaigns portray issues of poverty and development. He teaches on the MA Media and International Development.
