Named by Foreign Policy as one of the “100 Leading Global Thinkers,” ROBIN HAMMOND has dedicated his career to documenting the human condition through long-term photographic projects and has received numerous photography and journalism awards. He has published three books exploring social, political and cultural issues in Africa, and has made a wide variety of photographic bodies, from the impact of climate change on Pacific Island communities, and the use of rape as a weapon of war in the Congo and Bosnia. His latest work on homophobia and transphobia around the world – “Where Love Is Illegal” has become a popular social media campaign and has been exhibited around the world.

Robin is dedicated to having the stories he produces come from the people at the heart of the issues he documents and is the founder of Witness Change – a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing human rights through highly visual storytelling. A National Geographic and Time Magazine contributing photographer, his work has appeared worldwide on a variety of media. Born in New Zealand, Robin is currently based in the UK.
