Azadeh Akhlaghi is an Iranian photographer, filmmaker and translator. A graduate of RMIT University in Melbourne, she has been working with conceptual and staged photography since 2001, taking part in numerous exhibitions, both in Iran and internationally. Her films have been shown at a number of festivals, including at Berkeley Museum, in Pusan, and in Oslo. She received the 3rd Prize at the UN Habitat Photography Competition in 2009 in London, and the 1st Prize at the Women and Urban Life Competition in 2010 in Tehran. Azadeh Akhlaghi lives and works between Tehran, Iran and Melbourne, Australia.
