Deepali Dewan is the Dan Mishra Curator of South Asian Art & Culture at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, and teaches at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on the history of photography in South Asia with particular interest in vernacular practices. For the last few years, she has been involved with The Family Camera Network, a project to collect and preserve family photographs and their oral histories, around the theme of migration.
