Pratyoush Onta is a Nepali historian based at Martin Chautari, a research institute and public forum in Kathmandu. He has written, co-written, edited and co-edited several books including Social History of Radio Nepal (2004, in Nepali), Growing up with Radio (2005, in Nepali), 25 Years of Nepali Magazines (2013, in Nepali) and The State of History Education and Research in Nepal (2014). He is also the author of the article ‘A Suggestive History of the First Century of Photographic Consumption in Kathmandu’ published in the journal Studies in Nepali History and Society.
