Sanjeev Maharjan is an independent visual artist based in Kathmandu. He received his BFA from Kathmandu University’s Centre for Art and Design (2009) and is currently pursuing an MFA at Tribhuvan University. His solo exhibition Portraits from the Shadow was exhibited at the Siddhartha Art Gallery in 2009 and at both editions of the Kathmandu International Art Festival (2009, 2012). He is the recipient of the KCAC Residency Award and the Nepal Art Council Travel Grant. He is a co-founder of Drawing Room KTM, an artist-run learning space, and is one of the founders of Sirjanalaya, a non-profit that creates safe spaces for learning through the medium of art.
